Dr. Madeline Sloan performs dental work on thousands of Cass County kids every year. Most have had little to no dental care in their lifetime.
At one time, I thought I wanted to be an engineer, but a mission trip with my stepfather to Belize changed everything. He was a dentist and during the mission trip I assisted him in extracting up to 100 teeth a day. From that moment I knew dentistry was my future path and serving a special population would be my goal.
Nearly two years ago, I was hired as a dentist at Cass County Dental Clinic. In our clinic, which serves children and teens ages 0 to 20, we see patients who have had little or no prior dental care. There is no way you can work here and not be passionate about our mission, especially when you see some patients who have cavities on almost every single tooth. Helping them become cavity-free is extremely rewarding and makes a huge difference in their lives. Good oral health leads to greater overall health and greater success in life.
Many families have shared their struggle of finding a dentist to treat their child prior to coming to our clinic. We accept Medicaid and have very flexible hours for working parents. We want to thank you for your support. The team at Cass County Dental Clinic is committed to treating underserved children and improving their oral health. We hope you will consider supporting our work by making a gift to Cass Community Health Foundation.
